It is my honor and privilege to present the Gene Beckwith award for 2014-2015 to Linda and Richard Daugherty. They have served as the official district photographers for the past three years, but served in that role for several years before that. They have literally taken thousands of pictures of our members at LACE, Area/Division contests, district meetings, special occasions, and conferences. If it had to do with the district and our members, you can guarantee that Linda and Richard would be there – with cameras and smiles.
The Gene Beckwith award is presented at each of the conferences to a member/members who best represent the district in service to the members and the leadership team. The selection is solely up to the District Governor, but that responsibility is not taken lightly. The candidate(s) must provide a service to the district that uplifts the members and best represents the spirit of Toastmasters.
To Richard and Linda Daugherty, for your ability to bring a smile to a face and capture it for a lifetime, for your willingness to give of your time and your talents so that we all take away and cherish the memories we make, and for your service as the District Photographers.
