The Sponsor/Mentor Chairperson works with the Lt. Governor of Marketing to assign experienced Toastmasters to newly chartered clubs in order to ensure all members and new officers get off to a good start. This support ensure a growing culture of strong, viable, and sustainable clubs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend and conduct all training sessions for New Club Sponsors/Mentors.
- Online resources 218-H.
- Online resources 218-G.
- Publicize dates, times, and locations for all New Club Sponsor/Mentor training sessions.
- Plan two main dates at or near LACE trainings.
- Add additional dates in locations to accommodate all divisions.
- Goal of six sessions per fiscal year.
- Become familiar (the local authority) with all paperwork relating to the chartering of new clubs.
- Solicit additional support from District members having this expertise, as needed.
- Track and promote the placement of trained New Club Sponsors and New Club Mentors.
- Advise trained Sponsors and Mentors, as required and when asked.
- Perform other Marketing and Educational duties as requested, to the greatest extent possible
- Participate in Demonstration Meetings and Charter Presentations.
- Support LACE training and District Conferences and Contests.
- Recruit a replacement New Club Sponsor/Mentor Chair for the following year’s term.
