A number of Division A clubs are well on their way to achieving Distinguished
Club status. Newport Center Toastmasters (Club 231) in Area A2, has already
attained 8 of its 10 DCP goals! The club also has 32 members, making it the
largest Club in Division A. Keep up the good work, Newport Center Toastmasters!
Performance Unlimited (Club 805) has experienced a renaissance over the
past
several months. The club has 18 members and has achieved 5 DCP goals.
Experian (Club 5410) has also reached 5 DCP goals. The club has 29 members,
making it the second largest club in Division A.
Two other Division A clubs have reached 4 DCP goals: O.C. Civic Center (Club
5598, Area A1), TIC Talkers (Club 2116, Area A2). I expect these clubs to
soon become Distinguished Clubs.
Individual Division A Club members have accomplished noteworthy educational achievements. Congratulations to Lisa Skeldon (DTM), Dale Brown (ATM-B), Mary Jane Sterner (ATM-B), Joseph Vranich (ATM-B), Mark Abraham (CTM), Linda Adamson (CTM), Angelina Calvo (CTM), Cornelius Fichtner (CTM), Mark Gardner (CTM), Jeannie Murray (CTM), and Michael Spieler (CTM).
Special commendations are due to two Division A Toastmasters. Laura Scott (from Psomas Pspeakers, Club 1952, Area A5) won the first-place trophy in the Fall 2005 District Speech Evaluation contest! Area A5 Governor Seth Sherwood was one of four recipients of the Smedley Award for Area Governors.
Look for the focused enthusiasm of Division A to propel us onward to
further success!
