On behalf of Division E and as its new division governor, I wish Philip Campa, ATM-B, well in his travels with his work.
In spite of the change in leadership in mid year, Division E is alive and well.
The major accomplishments are that we have chartered 2 new clubs and expect one more in the next few weeks.
Smart Toast, 743962 at Smart and Final corporate headquarters in the Citadel in Commerce meets on Thursday at 3:30 pm. Rene Estrada, ATM-G; Debbie Gibbons, ATM-S; La Shawn Cullins, CTM, and myself are the Sponsors and Mentors. Smart Toast chartered with 35 members.
The other new club is Classic Estates, 731282, a community club that meets at 13217 South St in Cerritos at 6:30 pm on Tuesdays. They chartered with 25 members. Ed Vaughn, ATM-G; Frank Adamo, ATM-G, Sol Almarines and Alex Baello are among the Toastmasters who aided Classic Estates to get started on the right foot.
Estrada, Rick Escamillo and Freddy Clark are busy helping the Society of Latin Professional Engineers get the last few members to charter that club. They will meet in the city of Commerce.
Division E is now set for a round of exciting speech contests. Watch your
e-mail for details.
