Volunteer Opportunities

Club Coaches

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you could be a Club Coach! Founder’s District is looking for special people to become Club Coaches. A Club Coach is an experienced Toastmaster who is asked to help a struggling club reach Distinguished. The Club Coach comes from outside the club with different viewpoints, perspectives and knowledge. Positions are available District-wide. Training is provided.

Your assignment lasts to the end of the current club year if the club reaches Distinguished status or better, or the end of the subsequent club year if Distinguished Club status or better is not reached in the first year. Club Coaches also receive credit toward the Advanced Leader award.

New Club Mentors

Mentors are experienced Toastmasters who provide guidance during a new club’s first 6-months. Working side by side with the new Toastmasters, you will show them how to fulfill the meeting roles and help new officers understand their duties.

This position helps you develop mentoring skills and gives you more speaking opportunities. This is your chance to leave a legacy, to be involved in getting a new club on a solid foundation. Mentors also receive credit toward the Advanced Leader award. Positions are available District-wide and training is provided.

Demo Team Member

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in starting a new club. If you’ve participated in your club’s meeting, you have the necessary experience. Morning, noon, and evening "shifts" available as needed. Join Founder’s District Demo Teams when they give a demonstration of a Toastmaster meeting to groups interested in forming a Toastmaster club. Use your communication skills as a speaker, evaluator, table topics master. If you are new to Toastmasters and want to participate, you can be a timer.

Founder’s District’s goal is to charter 20 new clubs before June 30, 2006. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of introducing others to the benefits of Toastmasters!

Judges Bureau Needs Help

The purpose of the Founder’s District Community Relations Committee Judges Bureau is to provide community service organizations with well-trained, impartial, and professional quality judges for their youth speech contests. If you are a trained judge, we invite you to join the Judges Bureau and contribute to the visibility of Toastmasters within your community. Club Coach Chair

Founder’s District is seeking an enthusiastic individual to chair our growing Club Coach team. This position reports to the Lt. Governor Marketing.

Responsibilities include overseeing the Club Coaches and training new coaches. This position can also be used as a High Performance Leadership project.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Toastmaster. Prior Club Coach experience preferred, but not required. Position ends June 30, 2006.
