Saving the Pines:
A Work HPL Project

by Vic Andresen, ATM-S

I worked with four other people to plan a spraying project for the Angeles National Forest. The High Performance Leadership process helped me organize and expedite the planning and preparation for the spraying program. The purpose of this project was to save the large, significant pine trees in picnic and campground areas.

This project was a slice of a larger project, and HPL helped me complete my slice on time. However, final implementation was dependent on other groups of the organization that were out of my control. In the end, the spraying was completed about two months later than anticipated.
