Problems with Internet Explorer 6

The conference registration process may not work properly if you are using Internet Explorer 6. The default settings IE6 ships with may have cookies disabled for most Internet sites. You will need to enable cookies for proper operation. You will also need to enable javascript if it is not already enabled.

Internet Explorer 6 contains many incompatibilty problems which causes many pages to render differently than what the web developer intended. For these reasons and others IE6 makes a very poor choice for a happy Internet browsing experience. The best advice would be to remove IE6 from your computer and install a more modern Internet browser such as IE7 or FireFox. However, if you are still intent on using your archaic browser, following the instructions below may help.

Enabling Cookies in Internet Explorer 6

To do this in IE6, from the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Click on the Privacy tab. Then click on the Advanced button. You should see the following:



If these settings appear, you will need to change them to prevent potential errors:

1. Check the Override automatic cookie handling box.

2. Click on the Accept radio buttons for First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies

3. Check the Always allow session cookies box. After making these changes, the Advanced Privacy Settings should appear as follows:



4. Click OK.

After you click OK, you will see the following screen:



Click OK again and then return to the registration page.
