Composed by Ron Jung, DTM

The Program: (about a two month campaign)
- Have a budget approved by the Club.
- Secure a public location such as Cerritos Park East and get approval from the government agencies. Be sure you have approval to accept money transactions.
- Create a flyer and press release. Let the World Know is a resource.
- Spread the word via flyers (1500) at least 6 weeks prior to the target date. Distribute at shopping center bulletin boards, public libraries, churches, city hall, markets, local merchants, and more. Ask for RSVP 2 days before target date.
- Send out press releases to various newspapers 3-4 weeks before target date.
- Place ads at least 3 weeks before target date. Get approval from Club officers.
- Plan to attend as many City Council Meetings as you can that have television access and do a 5 minute presentation.
- Put your Open house information on the website, cable TV, etc.
- Visit large Corporations (300+) and make an appointment to see the HR person to encourage a new Club program.
At the Meeting:
- Plan the food and have it delivered on the date of the event.
- With the government agency, confirm the date, floor plan, and equipment.
- Have an opportunity drawing. Each attendee will submit their information sheet and receive a ticket. This provides an incentive to stay the entire evening.
- Have a great program with about 4 Table Topics, 2 Speakers, and 2 Evaluators.
- Make sure a Toastmaster sits at each table to explain TMs and answers questions.
- Provide a sign-up sheet, agenda, Yes, you need Toastmasters (99), TM magazine, Club information, membership application, and information sheet for each non-TM attendee.
- Have a clean-up committee.
- Be able to delegate.
- And have FUN!
