Norm Cook has really raised the bar with respect to educational achievements. For example, last year TI’s goal for Founders District, for CTMs was 299; Norm’s District goal was 400, and we achieved 416.
TI’s goal this year will most likely be a little more than 300; but we need to maintain last years high standard. Accordingly, we have the following:
CTMs
District Goal: 420 Total CTMs for 2003-2004 were 416.
ATMs
District Goal: 200 Total ATMs for 2003-2004 were 184.
CL/AL/DTMs
District Goal: 200 Total CL/AL/DTMs for 2003-2004 were ______.
Encourage every club officer to obtain his or her CL award. It’s good for them and good for their clubs.
Training Club Officers
District Goal: 85% club officers trained in each half of the year. We have: 46.2%
We have 2 weeks to complete Club Officer Training. Training is critical to the continued success and health of every club, area, and division.
Any current or past district officer can train club officers. Area Governors are encouraged to offer to do this for their clubs. Training can be done during a club meeting so that all members get a better understanding of the responsibilities. It can be done in small groups or even one-on-one.
As an incentive to encourage club officers to attend training, any club that has 100% of its officers trained, on time, will receive a ribbon of accomplishment to proudly hang on its club banner. The ribbon will be awarded for clubs that have all seven officers trained by August 31. So far 13 clubs have earned this ribbon.

Distinguished Clubs
District Goal: 130
Area Governors need to collect written club success plans by August 31. Area Governors with plans from 80% of their clubs will receive free admission to the fall district speech contest.
Fall Conference - November 5 and 6 at the Performing Arts Center in Santa Ana.
District Goal: 175 in attendance
Training Judges
District Goal: Maintain a pool of at least 300 trained and active judges
The district currently has 282 trained judges including 80 Chief judges.
